MARCUS JONES'S BIG YEAR

In March 1894, Marcus Jones took off on an amazing journey in search of plants. He had been appointed a Special Field Agent by the US Department of Agriculture, with a grant enabling him to explore the "vicinity of the Grand Canyon." Dr. William R. Gray will guide us over some of his journey which encompassed parts of what are now three National Parks and three National Monuments in this special presentation coinciding with our new exhibit.

Jones, and share some highlights of the collection from the RSABG archives and herbarium.
