Learn how to make a number of art books and journals using a variety of techniques. Book types will include intricately folded paper booklets and medieval ledger books with a wooden spine and hand-sewn bindings. Participants may also bring in treasured books that are in need of repair. Ms. Kotzen will demonstrate and discuss repair using traditional case binding and other techniques. Finished books can be used as photo albums, plant presses, sketchbooks, journals, or personalized gifts for someone special. Full written instructions are provided so that participants can continue book crafting on their own. Materials will be provided and included in class fee.
