Kids and adults alike have difficulties selecting
the right holiday gift for friends and family
members. Learn how to craft simple and
unique gifts from fresh or dried plant material.
Ms. Kotzen will demonstrate how to make
toys and games that have entertained Native
American children for decades. A leaf of a
fan palm will yield an array of toys like the
hoop and pole game, jump ropes, cordage
for string games, simple baskets, mats,
wreaths and Christmas ornaments. Children
enrolled in this class must be accompanied
by an adult. All materials are provided and
included in fee.
