Gourds and pine needles are easily obtained
materials that can be transformed into stunning
and rustic-looking containers and baskets.
In this class, participants will learn both
gourd crafting and basketry skills. Students
will prepare and shape a gourd to make
the base of a basket to which decorative
coiled bundles of pine needles and other
plant materials can be attached at the top.
Participants will color and design the gourd
to create a beautiful, unique vessel for display at home or to give as the perfect gift for the
holiday season. All materials are provided
and included in class fee.
