Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, a 501(c)3 public charity located in Claremont, California, is a public garden dedicated to promoting botany, conservation, and horticulture to inspire and inform the public and scientific community about California’s native flora.  

RSABG seeks a Director of Finance to provide leadership in all financial, strategic, operational and resource allocation decisions. This position oversees all financial activities and selected administrative functions, including facilities and information technology, depending on experience and interest.  

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong accounting, finance, and administration background. This position works closely with the Executive Director and other Senior Staff and serves as liaison to the Board of Trustees and various committees on financial matters.

The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, grants, and month-end closing process, as well as ability to step back to see the big picture and advise the organization on important strategic, financial, capacity-building, and business issues. The successful candidate will also possess effective leadership skills ensuring that these functions provide efficient, high-quality, timely and responsive support for the rest of the organization.  BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent and five-years of financial management experience required.
