Be sure to tell us as much as you can about the conditions of your garden and your plant:
Where is your garden?
What kind of area are you in - coastal, foothill, valley, desert, inland, other?
Tell us about your garden conditions - soil type, irrigation, sun exposure, etc.
When was the plant in question put in?
Was it planted from seed, 1 gallon pot, 24" box, other?
