The Garden has high standards and expectations for volunteers, and we offer plenty of rewards and unique opportunities in return. These include special lectures for volunteers, field trips, 10% discount on classes for the community and gift shop purchases, social luncheons and special events, a monthly newsletter, camaraderie with a wonderful group of people and more.
The Garden is a place where volunteers can increase their skills, meet new friends, learn the finer points of California botany and native plant gardening and enjoy the peace and beauty of the grounds. Many of you come to us with years of experience and education related to botany; this is very appreciated and useful, but not required.
