Experience poetry in the Garden and celebrate National Poetry Month
California poets welcome the season and National Poetry Month by sharing poems that celebrate our Garden, all gardens, nature and the environment of this fragile earth and out into limitless space.
Come and stroll the Garden's paths anytime throughout the event time to enjoy the art of the spoken word performed by poets in the Garden. They will be stationed at various locations around the Garden's Mesa Loop Trail.
Poetry books will be available for sale at the Poetry Stations and in the Garden Shop. Get yours signed by the author!
Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996, National Poetry Month is now held every April, when schools, publishers, libraries, booksellers, and poets throughout the United States band together to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture. Thousands of organizations participate through readings, festivals, book displays, workshops, and other events.

Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden (RSABG) is a proud participant in the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Blue Star Museums program, which offers free admission for active-duty military and their families between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day.
Complimentary admission begins Saturday, May 23, and will continue through Monday, September 7, 2015, and includes all active-duty US military personnel and/or their immediate family members (military ID holder and/or up to five immediate family members). The RSABG is also extending the free Garden admission to veterans (admission fees still apply for veterans' family members).
To receive free admission to the Garden, bring your current military identification or family member identification or veteran identification card to the Garden's admission kiosk.
