Collection Scope and Content Summary

 The Bonnie C. Templeton collection contains administrative documents, photographs, slides, negatives, plant drawings and samples, and other memorabilia documenting years of travel and botanical study in California, Mexico, and Europe by Bonnie C. Templeton. The collection covers the years 1947 to 1980, with the bulk of the material from the 1960s and 1970s.

Dr. Templeton's administrative work at the Botany Department at the Los Angeles Country Museum of Natural History may be found in Series 1. Series 2 contains Miss Templeton's photographs, slides, and other material from her travels. Series 3 largely consists of photographs, slides, and other botanical images. Series 4 consists of miscellaneous pamphlets, papers, articles, and other materials reflecting Miss Templeton's personal interests.

The collection is organized into five series:
