Ola from Vila do Conde II

Today we washed clothes for our time in Dublin, walked along the beach, packed up and worked on this blog.  We have such a nice room here and always enjoy the ocean so it is hard to move, but tomorrow morning we fly from Porto to Dublin.  We will use the time in Dublin to rest up, look around, post this blog and work on some manuscripts we have underway.  Clyde is very upbeat because he has felt well on this trip and I am pleased to have found Iris subgenus Xiphium species in their native habitats.  Iris xiphium occurred in a meadow habitat while the other two species were in the rocky habitats I am most familiar with. –June 1, 2007
